Pilates Classes

Equipment Pilates Class

Natural Balance Pilates specialise in small group equipment Pilates Classes.

With a maximum of four people in each class, you will receive more personal attention to detail and exercise corrections. Our small group Pilates Equipment classes are the most popular and effective way to learn the Pilates method. As the name suggests, these classes use equipment such as the Pilates Reformer, the Trapeze Table, the Pilates Wunda Chair, the Pilates Springboard and the Spine Corrector, just to name a few. The equipment adjusts to suit your individual needs, body shape and level of strength and flexibility.

Equipment Pilates is generally more intense and more dynamic as it adds resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of springs. The Pilates Reformer is also great for rehabilitation purposes, allowing the client to exercise in a lying down position without the associated pressures of weight-baring exercise.

These classes are suitable for most people, including those experiencing pain or injury

We recommend a one-on-one Individual Pilates Session prior to starting your equipment classes.

Mat Pilates Class

Using your own body weight for resistance, Pilates mat classes are a challenging and fun way to maintain core strength and develop good body awareness. Our larger group mat class explores various body movements, promotes flexibility and strength and incorporates simple balance challenges into each routine.

Basic Pilates equipment such as foam rollers, spiky balls, thera-bands, Pilates circle and exercise balls are used in the class.

Mat classes are not suitable for those with acute injuries, chronic pain or during/post pregnancy.
